Gentilly Fest

Mayor's Neighborhood Engagement Office, City of New Orleans AGENCY

The Office of Resilience and Sustainability will be at #GentillyFest this weekend, and we want to hear from the residents of Gentilly. We are asking you to take photos of what you love about your neighborhood, post them on social media, and tag them with #ResilientGentilly.

PCCP Construction Updates 9/21/16

17th Street Canal

Day shift activities to include:

Driving sheet pile along the pump station. Elevated noise levels expected.

Marina Recirculation line work is ongoing.

Setting of bar screens at the pump station.

Delivery of materials. Trucks entering and exiting from West Roadway.

Concrete pour for Additional Bypass Foundation. Trucks entering and exiting from West Roadway.

Orleans Avenue Canal


Day Shift activities:

Installation of permanent bulkhead around the pump station. Elevated noise levels expected.

Placement of concrete for the discharge walls. Concrete trucks entering and exiting Lakeshore Dr.

East T-wall Tie-in at Marconi - Installation of SOE Sheets. Elevated noise levels expected.

Delivery of materials to site. Trucks entering and exiting from Lakeshore Dr. 

London Avenue Canal


Day shift activities:

Removal of sheet pile around the pump station. Elevated noise levels expected.

Installation of sheet pile for the permanent bulkhead. Elevated noise levels expected

Installation of roof for the pump station and auxiliary building.

Prepare for dredging operation. Trucks hauling soil entering and exiting from Leon C. Simon and Lakeshore Dr.

West T-wall Tie-in - Pratt - Drive pile for T-Wall. Elevated noise levels expected.

Delivery of materials to the site. Trucks entering and exiting from Leon C. Simon and Lakeshore Dr.

Neighborhood Dues

Please remember to pay Lake Oaks neighborhood dues, $25 per year, per house.
